Sweet-And-Sour Syrup
INGREDIENTS
  • ½ cup cooled simple syrup (see recipe)
  • ¾ cup fresh lemon juice
  • ¾ cup fresh lime juice
  • ¼ cup water

INSTRUCTIONS
Pour all the ingredients into a clean jar with a tight fitting lid.  Close the lid tightly and shake the contents together until well mixed.  Refrigerate until needed.  It will keep for a week to 10 days.

NOTES
Makes 2 cups, enough for approximately 10 drinks.  This is one of those essential ingredients for your bar.  It is an integral part of many drinks including the margarita.  Covering both the sweet and citrix factors at the same time, it is very handy to have on hand.  There is no comparison between the store-bought mix and the marvelous quality provided by freshly made sweet & sour.  For the best flavor use spring or filtered water instead of tap water.
