Salty Dog
INGREDIENTS
  • Garnish:  Lemon wedge
  • Salt
  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 4 to 6 ounces fresh grapefruit juice

INSTRUCTIONS
Rub the rim of a chilled highball glass with the lemon wedge and rim with salt. Fill the glass with ice, pour in the vodka and grapefruit juice, and stir. Squeeze the lemon wedge over the drink, and drop it in.

VARIATIONS: To serve in a cocktail glass, use 2 ounces vodka and 2 ounces fresh grapefruit juice. Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. For a Lemon Dog, use citron vodka in place of the regular vodka.

A variation on the Greyhound, with the addition of a salt rim. This drink is best made with freshly squeezed grapefruit juice.
